Care Routine

Machine Wash

  • Turn the shirt inside out to protect its color and design.
  • Use a gentle cycle with cold water to prevent color fading and fabric shrinkage.
  • Use a mild, color-safe detergent. Avoid using bleach or harsh chemicals that can damage the fabric.
  • Avoid overloading the washing machine to ensure thorough cleaning.

Wash Cycle

Start the washing cycle and allow the machine to complete the wash. If your shirt has delicate embellishments or buttons, consider placing it in a mesh laundry bag to prevent any damage.

Rinse

Ensure the shirt is thoroughly rinsed to remove all traces of detergent. Lingering detergent can lead to skin irritation and fabric damage.

Drying

  • Gently squeeze out excess water from the shirt without wringing or twisting the fabric.
  • Lay the shirt flat on a clean, dry towel and roll it up to absorb excess moisture.
  • Unroll the towel and reshape the shirt to its original form.
  • Hang the shirt on a clothesline or hanger to air dry. Avoid direct sunlight, as it can cause color fading.
  • Never use a dryer, as high heat can shrink the fabric and damage any embellishments.

Ironing

  • Iron the shirt while it's still slightly damp to ease the process and prevent excessive heat exposure.
  • Use a low to medium heat setting on the iron, and ensure it's appropriate for the fabric type. Follow the care label's instructions.
  • Iron the shirt inside out to avoid direct contact between the iron and any prints or embellishments.

Storage

  • Store your shirt in a cool, dry place to prevent mold or mildew growth.
  • Use padded hangers to maintain the shirt's shape, or fold it neatly and place it in a drawer.

Additional Tips:

  • Always check the care label on your shirt for specific washing instructions.
  • Avoid excessive wringing or stretching of the fabric, as it can damage the fibers.
  • If you're unsure about washing a shirt, consider hand washing it using a gentle detergent.
  • Do not hang wet shirts on thin hangers, as they might stretch the fabric.
